We’re proud to announce the news that we’ve officially concluded our contest for our new character additions to the House Party game! What that means for all of you is, NEW CHARACTERS!
In case you haven’t heard, we ran a contest this past month, and the two winners were selected to have their likeness included in the House Party game.
In the male category, the Game Grumps won the contest by a landslide, and in the female category, Lety Does Stuff was the winner! We are going to start work immediately on crafting 3D models in their likeness, and we will be collaborating with them on their story, and working out the fine details so we can bring all of this new content to life!
The contest was supposed to be for one male and one female winner, but we since we like the Game Grumps so much, we decided to add them BOTH to the game!

In addition to these characters, we also have a new original character that will be joining the cast that will be a key part of being able to play as a female main character when it becomes available! So that’s a total of FOUR new characters coming very soon to the game!
We will also be opening up a new contest in the near future that will be exclusively for our supporters on Patreon to vote on. More details on that to come!

OK, granted I’m a (straight) guy who likes to play House Party in order to chase the girls. But the last thing this game needs is more guys! And your going to add 2 guys and only 1 girl?!?! Doesn’t feel like much of a bonus for me.

I’m with you Andrew, I loved the game grumps play this game and I am so happy to see them in the game my one hope is that there is a “how’s it going dude” or Gollum” reference and staring into the painting in the living room

AS FAR AS MALES, YEA IT COULD USE ONE MORE BUT THAT FEMALE BEING ADDED DOESN’T REALLY GET ME EXCITED FOR AN UPDATE, HOPEFULLY THE OTHER ONE THEY ARE ADDING IS MORE ATTRACTIVE AND INTERESTING.

I think adding to the game grumps just because they played the game and they’re “famous” was unfair to the other male contestants
i mean it makes sense to add them both, they are a major contributor to the popularity of this game in the first place… plus they genuinely enjoy the game, so why not lmao
Funhaus is the reason I got the game, should we add Lawrence, Bruce, Adam, James, and Elyse next? They got over 1 million views on their House Party video too after all.

Highly disappointed with the addition of 2 males and 1 female. Male characters have very little to offer in this game and adding 2 seems like a lot of effort for nothing. 1 would have been sufficient. Remind me again why I’m a patreon.

Not great news.
If you are a Patron of us, you’d know that our mission early on for this game was to have a little “something for everybody”. FYI, we are adding two more females, and two more males. We already had another female character in the pipeline in addition to the contest winners. We are also adding the ability to play as a female, and in order for straight storylines to come out of that, there needs to be more male options, which is why we were OK with adding both game grumps since they were the highest voted contestant, and the party is already very short on males. The point of this game is to have options. You simply don’t have to play the storylines you are not interested in.
House Party is obviously a game that doesn’t take itself too seriously, and I can’t understand how guys are now seriously getting butthurt about the addition of more male characters. There is a female audience out there, as well as homosexuals, and it’s only fair to give them more options in this so far very straight-male-oriented game.
And also I agree to what Andrew said on November 2, even as a straight male, who wouldn’t wanna seduce Danny and/or Arin?

Obviously there will be an option to play as a female character. To attract more women to play the game I guess. And with playing a female character you’d need more male characters to achieve something. That would surely validate 2 new male characters. As there aren’t too many in the game. It will defenitely alter the entire storyline for all characters that’s for sure.
The goal of adding a female playable character is not to “attract” anybody. It is one of the most highly requested features of our already existing player-base. If you know our history, you’d know that we try to listen to our player-base as much as we can and deliver new content based on what they want. But yes, you are absolutely right that there is a shortage of male characters, and in order to make these new mechanics work, there needed to be a couple more, which is why we decided to add both grumps.
hey guys, seem like you’re getting a tough time from some plebs and just wanted to say think its great, something that makes me keep replaying HP- other than the obvious- is the ridiculous humour, which comes a lot of the time From Frank, Patrick and Derek. Two more guys are completely welcome, as well as two new girls.
Exactly. Please EEK! don’t mind too much of these guys who are angrily demanding more girls and less guys, just because they might not be in touch with their sexuality, or wanting to more fap material. I think the something for everybody-policy is great and too rare these days, combined with possibilities and options doing things the way one wants. Even though I’m a guy, it would be funny and interesting to experience this game as female perspective and I know I’m not the only one.
Good job EEK games for listening your players and for a great game. I’m happy this game is getting updated and gets more content added at regular intervals.

I think this game must have an option after play to choose the “game mode”. I’m gay and I don’t want women on the house, the straight men doesn’t want mens on the house, the women maybe want a female character…
We need a game mode selection menu
The game is choice-based. You will eventually be able to choose to play as a male or female (we’re testing that internally now), and if you want to play as a gay guy, you can take the gay routes in the game, and vice verse if you want to play straight. The game is all about choice, so there’s no need to select options, just make choices according to your preference in the game.

I hope you model Lety on herself from the pictures available (maybe even if some how get real body textures from her) and she is let’s say “intractable”
How can some of you sit there and say adding the Grumps would be too many guys? With the Grumps added it would only be 5 guys (not counting the player) and around 7 or 8 women. People just want something to complain about. I don’t know who Lety is, but im looking forward to talking to her character in the game. I also want to say, great job on the game EEK! It’s super fun and ive played for hours.

Lety sure was my number one choice so much hotness. Thank you for selecting her cant wait to see her arrive in the game. With the two new guys as long as you make them funny guys and get them in trouble with the others for doing the wrong things they should work out ok too. People want choices and want to play the game in different ways so it’s good to make a lot of ways for people to play the game any way they choose to. Just keep it single player though multiplayer griefers are not welcome.
Only thing I would like to see is to make those characters optional, I didn’t paid for this game that some sweepstake for some “lousy” youtubers to be added. I for one do not care about both additions sorry. If only there would be an option to not having them in my game.
Please tell me you’re gonna add an option to give Arin some booze or something if he’s in the living room and he’ll look at the painting and do that “OWOOOWIIOOWOWOW” thing.
